KQC is an all-in-one, connected electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) designed to simplify and strengthen adherence to established quality standards.
In 2012, the developers of KQC were operating a software company that needed to achieve ISO 9001 certification and to comply with certain FDA regulations. During an initial external audit, they discovered an important reality: understanding and applying quality principles was not enough. Organizations must also clearly document and demonstrate how those principles are implemented. In other words, documenting quality activities is just as critical as performing them.
After a thorough review of available options, and determined to meet their quality objectives without creating unnecessary administrative burden, the team set out to embed quality requirements directly into everyday workflows. Their goal was to make compliance integral and seamless rather than disruptive. The result was a highly effective internal system that enabled the team to meet certification requirements while maintaining productivity. However, because it was developed in-house, its benefits remained limited to their organization.
Fast forward to 2026, and the need for effective quality management remains as strong as ever—particularly in regulated industries. Many organizations still rely on outdated manual processes, while others use fragmented, homegrown tools that are inefficient and time-consuming. Although fully developed eQMS platforms exist, many are prohibitively expensive, overly complex, or both, placing them out of reach for many teams.
